As the founder of Shining Light Preschool in 1999, I have been truly blessed by the relationships I have developed with teachers & SLP families. Shining Light is a great place for your child to spend their preschool years learning and growing — all the while getting to know (and trust!) a great big God who loves an itty-bitty me!

I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the Shining Light Family. An amazing program that touched the hearts of my family many years ago. I have always enjoyed working with children. To me, there's nothing better than to witness the wonder in their eyes and see them grow in faith.

MS. CHERYL

Shining Light Preschool literally changed my life when my son attended here. The Lord was, and is, so present, that I gave my life to Him and he blessed me with a love of children that fills my soul. I am so fortunate to have been graced with a job here, where I can not only facilitate the education of small children, but teach them about the Lord and how he treasures them. My prayer is that I will plant, or add to what has been planted, a love of the Lord which will grow throughout their lives.

It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted it grows and becomes the largest of all the garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.

MS. JEN

I feel truly blessed to be a part of the Shining Light family. I’m a homeschooling mom of 2 with a degree in child development. I have a God-given passion for teaching and a great love for our little ones. When I am not teaching or caring for my wonderful family, I enjoy doing various types of art, knitting, crocheting, hiking, or curling up with a good book. God has blessed me in so many ways throughout my life, and it is my hope and prayer to share my love of Jesus and our Heavenly Father with the kids and people that surround me. I can’t wait to tell them of the great love that He has for each of us.

MS. LARK

I am elated to be teaching at Shining Light Preschool. All four of my children have attended SLP. It has been my home away from home for nine years as a parent and now I am excited to be a teacher. I have taught 5th and 3rd grades in Cupertino and volunteered in various Sunday school classes. My passion is children. I gain energy from them and love their insight, love, curiosity and honesty.

My desire is to share God’s love with your child and share that he or she is deeply loved and are fearfully & wonderfully made. God’s love knows no boundaries. In my free time, I love to hike, read (children’s literature & historical fiction), bake and just relax with my kids. Thank you for sharing your child with me

MS. RACHEL

I am excited and feel blessed to be a part of Shining Light Preschool this year. To be able to work in a loving and caring Christian school is truly a wonderful opportunity. Teaching preschooler's has been my passion for over 20 years. I love being a part of their learning experience and sharing God's love with them. I'm looking forward to building relationships with the kids in my class and having fun while learning. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, gardening, sewing, and the outdoors exploring God's creation.

MS. STEPHANIE

I am so excited to be teaching at Shining Light! I grew up attending Valley Community Church and even helped out as part of my child development class senior year of high school, over 15 years ago! My favorite part of teaching is seeing the growth that takes place over the year whether that’s mentally, physically, spiritually, or socially.

I have a wonderful husband, Dilip, two cute and sassy daughters, and of course our little puppy, Piper. Perri is 4 and attended Shining Light last year and Finley is our youngest, who just turned 1! Outside of teaching I love to be in nature and take our girls and pup on adventures. I can’t wait to teach your kiddos!

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
